Appointed as constituency coordinator on January 2, 2024, he secured victory in the 2024 Assembly elections by a margin of over 5,200 votes, continuing YSRCP’s stronghold in the region.
A civil engineering graduate and businessman from a farming family, Chandrasekhar is known for his grassroots connections and campaign slogan “Mana Uriki Mana Chandrasekhar.” His dual role as MLA and party in charge strengthens YSRCP’s political influence in Yerragondapalem, often called the “Pulivendula of Prakasam.”
