Hyderabad, June 29, 2024: The highly anticipated sci-fi film “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, witnessed a drop in collections on its second day in India. However, analysts remain optimistic about the film’s overall performance, with the weekend target of ₹500 crore still in sight.

Kalki 2898 AD Second-Day Collection: According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned ₹54 crore net in India on Friday, June 28th. This marks a 43% decrease from its record-breaking opening of ₹95.3 crore on Thursday, June 27th. The Telugu version of the film saw the most significant decline, with collections dropping from ₹65.8 crore on day one to ₹25.65 crore on day two.

Kalki Weekend Collection Target Intact: Despite the dip, trade analysts remain positive due to the film’s strong opening. “Kalki 2898 AD” debuted with a global collection of ₹191.5 crore, ranking third all-time for an Indian film on its opening day. Early estimates suggest the film grossed a significant $7 million in North America alone. Positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth buzz are also expected to drive continued box office success.
