Noida, India – Popular YouTuber and reality show personality Elvish Yadav was arrested yesterday by Noida police in connection with a disturbing case involving the alleged use of snake venom. Yadav is suspected of supplying the venom for use at rave parties.
Yadav’s arrest follows a sting operation conducted by the animal welfare organization People for Animals (PFA), headed by Maneka Gandhi. The PFA investigation allegedly uncovered evidence that Yadav was involved in procuring and distributing venom from highly venomous snakes.
Wildlife Protection Act Violations
Six individuals, including Yadav, have been charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. The illegal possession and trade of snake venom carries serious penalties in India.
Yadav is scheduled to appear in court today for a bail hearing. The Noida police have indicated that the investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are possible.
Controversial Figure
Elvish Yadav has gained notoriety on social media for his videos that often feature pranks, stunts, and confrontations. He recently came under fire for a video in which he appears to physically assault another YouTuber.
This latest legal trouble could seriously impact Yadav’s career and reputation. Animal rights activists are calling for harsh penalties, citing the cruelty involved in the snake venom trade.
