ADEN, YEMEN – The Indian Navy has successfully intervened in a high-stakes hijacking in the Gulf of Aden, rescuing an Iranian vessel and its crew. The Iranian-flagged cargo ship, Al Kambar, was reportedly seized by armed pirates earlier today.

In a swift response, the Indian Navy deployed warships to the region. After intercepting the hijacked vessel, highly trained naval forces secured the ship and apprehended the suspects. Initial reports indicate all crew members are safe.

The Ministry of Defence hailed the operation as a testament to the Indian Navy’s anti-piracy capabilities and commitment to maritime security. The rescued Iranian vessel is expected to resume its journey after initial investigations are concluded.

This daring rescue underscores the ongoing threat of piracy in the Gulf of Aden, a vital shipping lane connecting Asia and Europe. Maritime security experts have widely commended the Indian Navy’s decisive action.
