The incident occurred at a satsang held in the Sikandrarau area. Estimates suggest a massive crowd exceeding 10,000 devotees, primarily women and children, attended the spiritual discourse. As the event concluded, a stampede broke out, leading to panic and a crush of people.

Emergency personnel swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the crisis and provide medical aid to the injured. The official death toll confirms at least 60 fatalities within Hathras district, with neighboring Etah hospitals reporting an additional 27 deaths. This pushes the confirmed death toll over 100, with a significant number of attendees suffering injuries.
