His journey began in 2003 when a 20-year-old Anderson first stepped onto the field, and fittingly, it ended at the same venue, the Home of Cricket.
In the match, Anderson took four wickets as England triumphed by an innings and 114 runs. The veteran bowler had a chance to claim a wicket on his final ball in Test cricket and achieve a five-wicket haul but missed a caught-and-bowled opportunity in the 44th over. Nonetheless, the 41-year-old will be pleased to conclude his career on a high note.
