RR vs GT: The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur witnessed a nail-biting finish today as the Gujarat Titans snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against the Rajasthan Royals.
RR’s batting woes continued, with their top order failing to fire. Openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal fell cheaply, putting pressure on the middle order. However, the experienced Sanju Samson showed his hitting with help of Ritan Parag steadied the ship with a crucial partnership. Samson, in particular, played a blinder, smashing crucial boundaries at the death to propel RR to a respectable total.
Chasing a modest target, GT looked in control for most of their innings. With openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill providing good start and a solid foundation, but wickets began to tumble at regular intervals. This is where the wily Rashid Khan stepped up for GT, with help of Rahul Tewatia and a quick Cameo from Sharukh khan came in needy and after Run-out in the final over at penultimate ball of Rahul Tewatia where 2 runs required at the end, Rashid Khan smashed four and took GT to a thrilling victory.

Rashid Khan was once again the star performer for GT, showcasing his exceptional bowling skills. His ability to turn the tide of the match with his wicket-taking spells is invaluable to his team. Khan’s experience and composure in batting pressure situations make him a true match-winner.
Tewatia’s Power Provides Lifeline
Rahul Tewatia’s late cameo with the bat proved to be the turning point for GT. His ability to find the boundary with ease injected much-needed momentum into their innings and provided a fighting total for the bowlers to defend.
RR’s Unbeaten Run Ends
Rajasthan Royals’ dream run in IPL 2024 finally came to an end. Despite a valiant effort, they were unable to chase down the target set by GT. This loss serves as a wake-up call for the Royals, who will need to address their batting frailties in the middle order.
